Frequently Asked Questions

What is Model United Nations?

From the United Nations itself; “Model UN simulations engage hundreds of thousands of students each year, helping them to learn more about the principles of the UN and how it functions. Many of today’s leaders in law, government, business and the arts – including at the UN itself – participated in Model UN as students.’’

What do students do in MUN Conferences?

Students prepare on their countries policies, then proceed on debating with member countries on topics & agenda items that is given. To debate, delegates prepare working papers on agenda items with their countries policies aligned.

I’m a minor ( under the age 18). Can I attend the conference as an individual delegate?

Yes. Participants under 18 can attend the conference on their own if they have their parent or guardian sign the consent form we provide and submit the signed hard copy to the designated team member.

I have never attended MUN conference before but I’m interested. Can I join ROTAMUN?

Of course! Our conference offers beginner-level committees for new participants. It is important for participants applying as delegates to indicate that they are first-timers in their applications, as this will be taken into account by our academic team for committee-country allocations.

We want to apply as delegation. What is the minimum number of people required?

Delegations must consist of at least 5 people.
